Inspirational Speaking Ministry’s Start

EXTREME!!

My personality has always been outgoing, exuberant, and extreme! In 1980, when I first became a Christian, one of my greatest fears was, “How were these conservative ‘big-bible-carrying Christians’ ever going to love and accept me?”

The night I put my faith and trust in Jesus, my prayer went something like this:

“Dear God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to pay for my sin. I turn from my sin. Right now, I ask Jesus to come into my heart and life. Thank you for forgiving me and making me a Christian. Please don’t make me a ‘Jesus Freak.’ Amen.”

I have been a “Jesus Freak” ever since!

Early Speaking Opportunity

One of my first church speaking opportunities came while sitting in the audience of a concert. Unbeknownst to me, the soloist announced, “Laura Loveberry does not know this, but I am going to ask her to come up and share her family’s adoption story. I believe God is leading me to ask her to share this miraculous story right now…” What a total surprise!

Then nearly every time I shared the adoption story in conversation, people were touched and reported “getting goose bumps.” I was led to make a testimonial tape of our family’s adoption journey and our “
Madison Avenue Home tape was recorded. It has been an outreach to many people inquiring about our interracial family with adopted children.

Eventually, as word spread, I asked Regina Holroyd, my friend in the concert ministry of
Silent Witness, to join me to share the story, and other messages, at women’s gatherings and 'Sanctity of Life' events. My family’s adoption story was even aired on a Christian radio program heard on hundreds of stations all over the world.

Though I was long ago uncertain of how my over-the-top personality would fit in with Christianity, my soul’s desire became to use the personality that God gave me to communicate with heart-felt enthusiasm, the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. I am a servant in God’s hands!

“Laura is like a breath of fresh air. Not only is she vibrant and personable, she is also relevant, perceptive, and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. She signs with energy and communicates the gospel clearly. I would be proud to use her presentations for any age group, teens to seniors.”
- Helen Stewart, Bible Teacher & Stonecroft Regional Administrator of Michigan

“Laura Loveberry’s presentation was a lovely touch for our fundraising banquet with the ‘Adoption Option’ outreach.”
- Diane Jones, Director, Crisis Pregnancy Center, Three Rivers, MI

“Madison Avenue Home is a compelling presentation of testimony, music, and sign language; marinated in the love for human life that captures the attention of ladies from six to ninety-six.”
- Debra Blair, Ladies’ Tea Coordinator, Coventry Baptist, Fort Wayne, IN

Laura is very happily married to her husband, Mark Loveberry. Mark is a Godly leader, prayer warrior, and a very encouraging support of the ministry. He is a wonderful dad for their precious children, Markus and Madison. The Loveberry's live and grow in southern Michigan.
